Fifty and Fit – My Master Plan
The age of 50 is approaching fast and I want to be ready. Prolonged aches and pains after a good work out and makes me feel OLD. I know this is not “the work of the Lord”. I am taking control of this situation right now, and getting it under control. This is my plan to Fifty and Fit.
Starting my Fifty and Fit Day
I start every my Miracle Morning by drinking a glass of lemon water. Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon in the morning caused abdominal discomfort and I succumbed to only adding lemon. Lemon water is beneficial to collagen production by increasing vitamin C which is essential for every woman over 50. Fit and Flabby is not the plan – drink at least 72 ounces of water a day to keep your skin healthy and supple. I use my Fitbit app to keep track of water consumption.
Fifty and Fit Daily Green Drink
A green drink for breakfast is something else I recently started with my Miracle Morning to make sure I started my day nutritionally sound. The “Fifty and Fit plan” requires my body to reach new heights, therefore, I have to boost my nutrient levels. My green drink includes:
- Kale- antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and more.
- Celery- Protects the Liver, Prevents dehydration, and more.
- Spinach- Aids in Bone Mineralization, increases eyesight, and more.
- Parsley- Improves digestion, aides to heal Gallbladder, and more.
- Beets- Boots energy, improves stamina, and more.
- Carrots- Full of anti-oxidants, improves vision, heart health, and more.
- Turmeric- Anti-inflammatory, Improves brain function, anti-cancer, and more.
- Lemon- Source of Vitamin C, promotes weight loss, and more.
- Ginger- anti-inflammatory, decrease muscle soreness, and more.
Fifty and Fit Diet Plan
I have been Raw Vegan, Vegan, Pescetarian, Vegetarian, and my body has made the decision to follow the “Starch Solution”. The starch solution is filling and enables me to eat a healthy nutritious diet and feel satiated. I have weight to lose but I am not interested in dieting. My Fifty and Fit diet plan is a lifestyle change.
The Exercise Plan
Exercising is something I enjoy. I get up at 6:00 am and between 6:30 to 7:00 am I am on the treadmill. The fact that I am now able to jog for 30 minutes is exciting, and I want to continue. There were struggles with pain after my workout that lingers throughout the day. I just recently found with Pandiculation and including it into my regime. Pandiculation in my workout routine I will be able to reach new heights, add strength training, and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).
Measuring For Success
Even though dieting is not on the radar, I have to weigh myself to make sure I am accomplishing my set goals. Fifty and Fit looks like a normal BMI, less pain, more flexibility, and increased endurance. Monthly weigh ins on the 15th of every month and taking pictures is how I plan to evaluate the effectiveness of the plan. I’m not afraid to change things up if they are not working, but I realize consistency is the key. My weight and body fat percentage is logged into my Fitbit app. The results will be updated monthly with my subscribers in hopes of encouraging others that being Fifty and Fit is possible.
